Both / And Blocks

A series of giant, scale replicas of vintage letter blocks. Hand built with wood carvings atop each block. The largest block (4'x4'x4'), is adorned with symbols for the word "AND" on each side. The smaller blocks (2'x2'x2') are arranged spin and spell whatever words the viewer might find. The hidden surprise is that anytime the block spell the word "BUILD" on one side, the opposite side will spell the word "BREAK". Similarly, if one side spells "FAITH" the opposite side spells "DOUBT". It's a reminder to leave room for both in our work and play.
These works were made for a displayed at the Springville Museum of Art in 2024 and 2025.
